The HighEdWeb organization hosts an annual conference in October, and this is a smaller, shorter conference to attract attendees in the New England region and surrounding area. The HighEdWeb Association\u2019s mission is: \u201cTo advance Web professionals, technologies, and standards in higher education.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/search.twitter.com\/search?q=%23hewebne\">#hewebNE<\/a> 2014 was sponsored by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.highedweb.org\/\">Higher Education Web Professionals Association<\/a> and <a title=\"Johnson and Wales University, Providence\" href=\"http:\/\/www.jwu.edu\/providence\/\">Johnson &amp; Wales University, Providence<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Where and when is HighEdWeb New England happening?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>HighEdWeb New England 2014 took place on Friday, April 25 at <a title=\"Johnson and Wales University, Providence\" href=\"http:\/\/www.jwu.edu\/providence\/\">Johnson &amp; Wales University, Providence, RI<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Who runs HighEdWeb New England?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The 2014 regional at <a title=\"Johnson and Wales University, Providence\" href=\"http:\/\/www.jwu.edu\/providence\/\">Johnson &amp; Wales University<\/a> was coordinated by <a title=\"Conference Committee 2014\" href=\"http:\/\/ne14.highedweb.org\/conference-committee-2014\/\">a team of higher ed web folks<\/a> who work in institutions throughout New England.<\/p>\n<p><strong>I work with the Web via marketing\/admissions\/alumni\/etc \u2014 should I still attend?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Absolutely! Presenters and attendees for past HighEdWeb conferences come from public and private universities of all sizes, are housed in a great variety of departments, and hold diverse titles such as web developer, marketing coordinator, programmer\/analyst, graphic designer, director of web communications, information services librarian and beyond.
