Student social media teams are an effective way to meet these goals, while fulfilling the ultimate mission of higher education: to prepare people for success in the \u201creal world.\u201d Four years ago Western Oregon University launched a student social media team to strengthen university social media efforts. Through significant annual structural changes to the team it has evolved to its most successful form to date. Learn how WOU went from an overworked social media staff of one to a thriving team producing a great deal of content. Specific topics include pay vs. volunteer student roles, training, level of account access, equipment, and more.<\/p>\n<p>This session will be open live captioned on a separate screen for the entire audience.
